It’s 368 days since I landed back in the UK after a 6 week excursion to Australia’s East Coast.
I said then that my goal would be to return within 12months – I never expected to come close to completing the feat however.
I’ve had such a great time back in Milton Keynes though, creating a lot of fantastic memories along the way. I’ve made new friends and re-connected with old ones. More importantly I’ve spent a lot of time with my family.
I’ve also recieved some wonderful opportunities, such as working for BP in the MK Head Office, and being invited to photograph a wedding. I am in no doubt that I have certainly grown as a person – personally, professionally, and mentally.
Unlike last time, I’m under no illusions about what is in store for me – at least for the first part of my trip in New Zealand. That might be a different story when I return to Australia in mid-December and have to consider other elements such as work!
For now though, it’s time to chill and relax. I’ve worked hard to get myself into a position where I can do this.
Big love to everyone I’m leaving behind. I’ll miss you all, so maybe come visit me? Better yet, try get yourselves working-holiday visas and join me long term!
