#100 – Attend an NBA game

When it comes to American sports, there are three that stick out; American Football (NF- Baseball (MLB); and Basketball (NBA). These are beloved, with the money in each franchise ridiculous and the fans extraordinary. Supporters live and breathe for their teams, generating unbelievable atmospheres at every game.

These three sports also draw huge interest from tourists, with many going for the experience, which is pretty much the main reason for mum and I attending the NBA game between Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves on Janury 6th 2010.

#98 – Watch a Liverpool FC football match at Anfield, Liverpool

‘Liverpool was made for me and I was made for Liverpool’ – Bill Shankly

My first official Liverpool game was vs Manchester United in the 2001 FA Charity Shield that ended in a 2-1 victory for Liverpool, courtesy of goals from McAllister and Owen. The game also featured debuts for Riise and Van Nistelrooy. However, this game took place at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, which was hosting this showpiece event due to old Wembley having been knocked down.

#52 – Watch the Paralympics Live

Although 2008 provided the watershed moment for me in regards to the Olympics, the Paralympics still very much flew under the radar for me. That is, however, until my application to be a volunteer at London 2012 was deemed successful and I was appointed a London 2012 Games Maker for the duration of the 2012 Paralympic Games. As a result, I thought I’d look into the Paralympics in a little more detail and, the more I looked, the more excited I became. (more…)
