‘Untitled Thoughts’ Collection

On this page you will find links to the ‘Untitled Thoughts’ blog post collection.

This collection is inspired by the idea of thought-tracking, a drama technique where an actor orally dictates their character’s inner monologue. However, rather than oral dictation, I write out my inner monologue/current train of thought, This can produce a cathartic reaction for myself.

Writing down your thoughts and feelings is also a technique recommended by psychologists and therapists due to the cathartic reaction it can produce:

“In the same way you hit the brake when you’re driving when you see a yellow light, when you put feelings into words, you seem to be hitting the brakes on your emotional responses… putting our feelings into words helps us heal better. If a friend is sad and we can get them to talk about it, that probably will make them feel better” – Matthew D. Lieberman
